The Lutheran Church has rejoiced in sacred music from the time of Martin Luther, earning the moniker “the singing church.” From this rich musical tradition came the works of Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frederic Handel, which continue to draw new followers to celebrate Christ.
CtL is proud to launch our Ministry of Music under the stewardship of professional musician Mary Sue Hyatt as Artistic Director. See her profile
The mission of the Ministry of Music is to:
- Engage the community
- Celebrate the arts
- Delight the spirit
Together, we create beautiful music. There are several ways you can lend your voice or musical spirit, no matter what your level of experience or talent.
We welcome new members to our adult chorale and our CtL Bells of Joy handbell choir (practice is Thursday’s at 6:30 pm; all levels of ringers are welcome, including beginners). We are always looking for instrumentalists and enthusiastic audience participation. You can explore your love of musical performance through workshops or private lessons.
